The name “Numi” came from combining the name of my first business, “Nutrition Mission,” with the idea of becoming a “New Me.” When I thought about the effect of “Nutrition Mission,” I wanted to show not only physical health but also a whole-person approach to getting better. The idea of the “New Me” hit close to home because it meant personal growth through food. “Numi” combines these two things in a beautiful way, showing a journey from my mission in nutrition to the discovery of a renewed and revitalized self. It’s a bridge between healthy food and a whole-person change, with the goal of helping people become the best versions of themselves. Through the name “Numi,” I want to tell people that taking care of their bodies can help them find a healthier, more vibrant “New Me.”
I’m a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Healthy Food Delivery business owner. I blend my education in Business Management with my passion for health and healing to bring my clients a creative and balanced approach to nutrition for the ‘whole’ family. I work with men, women, children, seniors, teens, athletes ~ Everyone!
My approach to healthier eating is universal: it’s straightforward and tailored to each person. This means that I adapt to the preferences, schedules, genetics, culture, and pace of each individual. I never make assumptions, but I have enough experience with clients to know some tried and true methods for accomplishing their aims. I like to show people how to make the recipes I recommend or the products I think they’d enjoy, and then let them try them out for themselves. I do this in one-on-one settings as well as in group settings like workshops and cooking classes.
Many of my customers seek me out because they want help sorting through the abundance of conflicting health advice on the web. They may feel stuck and in need of inspiration or motivation, or they may want to improve their health but don’t know where to begin. This straightforward procedure typically lasts between two and six sessions and features menu planning and recipe inspiration. However, some of my customers will be struggling with unique health problems that require extra attention. Obviously, this is a more involved procedure. Being a “holistic” nutritionist allows me to take into account the individual as a whole. Good, clean food isn’t enough to keep us healthy. We need to develop a well-rounded outlook on life, and it can be beneficial to look at things from a new angle now and then. Yes, I can give you that.
I reject the concept of forced sacrifice. Incorporating delicious, uncomplicated food is my strategy. If you asked me to, I’d assist you in developing nutritious alternatives to your favorite dishes. Amazingly, once your body begins receiving the benefits, it will naturally seek out even more of them. Your preferences will undoubtedly shift as you mature, but that’s to be expected. The key is to include foods you enjoy eating, so you never feel hungry or deprived.
My innovative, hands-on strategy is what sets me apart. In addition to my extensive background, my interests include cooking, learning, teaching, helping others, and taking on new challenges. As a result, many nutritionists don’t put their own advice into practice. They will merely repeat what they have read. I am able to draw from my experiences in the nutrition and health industry, which I entered in order to learn how to prepare healthier meals for myself and my family.
Both, in a way. I’m not the dietitian for you if you want to lose weight quickly by counting calories. Yet, I am here to assist you in your quest to achieve a healthier weight. How? By instructing you in the art of healthy eating, cooking, and grocery shopping suited to your age, family size, and way of life. Diets are useless. Losing weight is a side effect of making permanent changes to your health through eating simple, clean, whole foods and adjusting some lifestyle habits.
First and foremost, you should eat real food and take pleasure in it. Changing your diet to include higher-quality ingredients can have profound effects. If you already eat a lot of vegetables, you may only need to switch to organic produce or add more variety to your diet by switching up the days you eat certain foods. It’s possible that if you eat at home less frequently, you’ll have more time to prepare meals. The first step is to set aside some time on the weekend to prepare food for the week ahead. Most people, including myself, could benefit from eating more vegetables. Feeling great can be as simple as adding a Green Smoothie to your diet a few times a week. A second easy one is to just drink more water. This is common knowledge, right? The saying “just do it” is adage. Energy levels, detoxification, skin health, and well-being are all greatly improved.
I prefer to get the vitamins and minerals you need from food whenever possible. Though I do occasionally advise clients to invest in some low-level supplements, I think food is where most people’s money is better spent. I also enjoy demonstrating to my clients how to make a Green Smoothie, which is essentially a multivitamin in liquid form. Supplements are rarely necessary if you regularly engage in these activities and manage your stress levels.
Having a high-powered blender or food processor is not required. You can get by with the essentials from a hardware store. A good knife, vegetable peeler, and cutting board are essential, as is a blender or food processor. When you have the proper equipment, cooking becomes a pleasurable experience. However, my Vitamix Blender and Cuisinart Food Processor are two appliances that I use frequently and greatly appreciate.

Most people need to eat more vegetables, in my experience. Adding a balanced Green Smoothie to your diet a few times a week can help you feel great. Drinking more water is another easy one. Don’t we already know this? Do it already. It makes a big difference for your energy, skin health, detoxification, and overall well-being.
